What People Say
Best haunted house I’ve ever been to. For the past 3 Halloweens, we’ve come here and it’s never the same. Always changing it up, which makes it perfect

This place is amazing and so much fun! We drove down from Kingman, Arizona. Desoto Asylum has truly been the best haunted house I have ever been too!

New For 2024
Made possible by the donations from 2023
Desoto Asylum Escape is an extended haunted house experience where you will be directed into an unexplored part of the asylum. It’s a race again time to find your way out before you are captured. You will have 5 minutes in the room to find clues and solve the puzzles before time runs out…
Due to the longer interactive nature of Desoto Asylum Escape, wait times would get much longer. Therefore, we will be limiting it to patients that have brought 4 nonperishable food items or $10 donation per person. The experience will be limited to groups of up to 4 people at a time and may still experience unusually long wait times. The regular haunted house experience will continue to be available to patients that have brought 2 nonperishable food items or $5 donation per person, as well as patients who haven’t donated anything. We are hoping to be able to do the escape room without having to create an online reservation system.
In 2021 we collected a record 1,405 pounds of food, enough to feed over 300 families. All food collected was donated to Firehouse Ministry in Needles California. Help us set a new record this year! Please check the dates though, people can’t eat dated food.
We’re a family-run haunted house that has been in operation since 2008. We strive to find new ways to scare and to make our haunted house a believable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We completely change the layout and design every year and work starts about 6 months before opening. We put a lot of hard work and soul into making Desoto Asylum and hope you will come out and see what we have created. Interested in more, check out our Back Story and patient Stories. Our Facebook page will have the most up-to-date information and media.
Come back in December for “The Krampus Encounter”
St. Nicolas isn’t coming this year! Instead, a much darker ancient spirit. He and his helpers did not come to give, but to take.
